## How Advisor works

Advisor connects to your Cloudflare account **read-only**. It collects the configuration of your zones, checks each item against a set of rules and turns the result into a score. Advisor does not change your account configuration. Inside Advisor, only governance states change, such as an accepted risk or a resolved incident.
