The **Segurança** (Security) page sets the tenant's two-step verification policy. When verification is required, only members with verification turned on can access tenant data.

## Before you start

You need the `tenants.security.manage` permission. The **Tenant Admin** role has it.

## Change the policy

1. Go to **Administração** (Administration) > **Acesso** (Access) > **Segurança**.
2. Under **Verificação em duas etapas** (Two-step verification), check the current state: **Obrigatória** (Required) or **Opcional** (Optional).
3. Select **Tornar obrigatória** (Make required) or **Tornar opcional** (Make optional).

## Who it applies to

| Sign-in method | Effect of the policy |
|---|---|
| Password | The policy applies. |
| SSO | The tenant policy does not apply. The person follows the identity provider's rules. |

## Members without verification

When the policy is **Obrigatória**, a member who signs in with a password and has no two-step verification:

- can still sign in to Advisor;
- cannot access tenant data. Every screen redirects to **Meu Perfil** (My Profile), with the notice **A sua organização exige verificação em duas etapas. Ative-a abaixo para voltar a acessar os dados do tenant.** (Your organization requires two-step verification. Turn it on below to regain access to the tenant's data.)

Once verification is turned on in **Meu Perfil**, access to the data is restored.

While any of the member's tenants requires two-step verification, the member cannot turn it off.
